Su origen se remonta a mil setecientos a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad y tiene 2 claros protagonistas: El poderoso emperador romano Claudio III y un humilde cl\u00e9rigo llamado, por supuesto, Valent\u00edn. Cuenta la leyenda que Claudio III quien guiaba los destinos de Roma all\u00e1 por el siglo III, decret\u00f3 prohibir el matrimonio a sus soldados con pena de muerte a quienes osaran desafiarlo ya que el casamiento debilitaba a los hombres en la guerra. Todo cambi\u00f3 cuando el sacerdote tom\u00f3 cartas en el asunto al encontrar la ley injusta y comenz\u00f3 a organizar bodas clandestinas en lo alto de una colina cerca de Roma. Al morir su nombre ya era toda una leyenda en la ciudad y pronto ser\u00eda santificado.<\/span><\/div>\n
